Sylvia M. Singleton, MSA, MST, CPA
Professional Career Experience
Sylvia Singleton has had a distinguished professional career over the last 20+ years in which she has held several key and leadership roles across several industry sectors. She has worked in the corporate sector in accounting and business management, in the public sector at CPA firms specializing in taxation, and in the wealth management industry as a Financial Advisor. In her own financial services firm, she serves entrepreneurs, consultants, and high-net-worth individuals, who have sought her guidance in realizing their goals related to business growth and life events.
Academic Career Experience
Sylvia has also worked as a full-time professor teaching business, accounting, personal finance, and taxation courses. She also served as Director of Graduate Programs in Taxation (MST) at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. She mentored a team of attorneys, tax experts, and wealth management advisors employed as faculty in the MST program; the faculty were employed at various prominent financial firms in the City of Boston, including the Big 4 CPA firms, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and State Street amongst many others. While at Suffolk University, she taught advanced-level graduate taxation courses in the areas of business entities, individuals, estates, trusts, and gifts. Sylvia continues to teach graduate courses in the MST program at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Entrepreneurship Experience​
Sylvia founded her firm in 2011. For over a decade she has been helping her clients with tax advisory services, financial planning, and launching new business ventures.
She is very proud of the relationships she has established with her clients, who have trusted her to help them secure their financial future. She says, "I work a job where I get to help others accomplish their dreams; to me, there is no greater purpose."​
Commitment to Service​
Sylvia wholeheartedly believes that everyone should engage in community service. Her commitment to serving her community is based on her upbringing in the church as the daughter of a minister. As part of her community engagement efforts, she offers a free-of-charge program on topics related to personal finance at high schools which serve students of underprivileged groups. She also is a longtime Community Volunteer at the Department of Families and Children participating in foster care reviews.​
